in questi giorni di novembre 2020 a pochi giorni dalla gara gli organizzatori della Diamond Cup hanno pubblicato un post nel quale affermano che la manifestazione è annullata e posticipata al 2021. La ragione di questa scelta è dovuto al fatto che per molti atleti europei e non sarà difficile spostarsi da una parte all’altra dell’Europa a causa della seconda ondata di COVID. Dalla loro pagina ufficiale facebook, gli organizzatori scrivono il seguente comunicato:

Dear friends,

After the conversation with a number of national delegates and competitors, who attended the World Championship in Santa Susanna, as well as after the consultation made with the President of the IFBB, Dr. Rafael Santonja and the Director of the Agency for Sports of Macedonia, we came to the conclusion that due to the poor condition with the second wave of the Covid-19 pandemic, travel from Europe to Skopje is very difficult, and there is a possibility that it will soon be impossible.
The possibility of canceling flights to Skopje and introducing new stricter measures in the region, force me to make a difficult, but at this moment fair decision as an Organizer, and that is canceling the event, Diamond Cup Skopje for this year and rescheduling on the same for 2021, October 15-17.
