come raccontato in questo articolo postato qualche tempo fa sul nostro blog ultimatebeefmagazine.com, la Temple Gym è la palestra che è stata fondata da Dorian Yates, negli anni in cui gareggiava come pro ifbb e vinceva il Mister Olympia.

Nel video realizzato da Generation Iron Dorian Yates The Mass Monster, The Shadow, racconta che oggi la palestra Template Gym ha cambiato location e non si trova nello stesso scantinato in cui è stato girato il dvd di allenamento Blood and Guts, perchè lo stabile in cui si trovava la palestra ha avuto dei problemi con le fondamenta e la Temple Gym è stata spostata in un’altra zona nella città di Birmingham, città natale di Dorian Yates.

qualche anno fa, sul forum di Muscular Development, noi del blog ultimatebeefmagazine.com abbiamo trovato questo post di Ron Harris, scrittore per Muscular Develoment, nel quale parla della palestra Temple Gym, gestita non più da Dorian Yates, ma da Lewis Yates, ovvero il figlio di Dorian Yates. Ecco che cosa scrive:

” Dorian [ YATES ] hasn’t lived in the UK for about the last 3-4 years, just spent a month there a couple times a year. Lewis [ YATES ] was running Temple. The building owner started doing major renovations, which caused damage to the basement (where Temple was located). Just didn’t make sense to keep it going anymore. “

in questi giorni di fine marzo 2020, anche in Inghilterra è arrivato il CORONA VIRUS e la palestra di Lewis Yates, è chiusa dal 20 marzo 2020. Ecco che cosa scrivono dalla pagina ufficiale facebook:

I regret to say that tonight will be the last day we will be open until further notice due to covid-19 Virus, Following tonight’s government announcement (20/03/2020) we are updating you on the current situation. As of tonight, the government has stated that all gyms are to close. We are assuming that this is an initial period of 1-month, but we will keep a close review on this and update you if it changes. Customer’s that are on Direct Debit they will receive an email from Ashbourne Management in the next one or two days giving you updates on your membership options what you would like to do until this situation is resolved. Our members that pay cash we will freeze your membership as of today so you can continue your membership when we resume trading. I hope you understand this is for the safety of our country and our people god bless us all.”

come è successo in Italia, anche in Uk, il primo passo per sconfiggere il CORONA VIRUS è quello di chiudere le palestra. Anche in Inghilterra il Governo ha chiuso le palestre di tutto il paese per un mese, anche è molto probabile che il non sarà solo un mese, ma per molto tempo.
